This site covers informations of a wide range of trees and shrubs. It lists many key informations briefly on the top of each page following by detail descriptions. So it’s easy to find key ones quickly.

‘Manual of Trees of North America’

 by Sargent, Charles Sprague, 1841-1927; Faxon, Charles Edward, 1846-1918

This book provide many delicate detail drawings of plants. They sometimes show more clear features of plants than photographs. But the descriptions are not always correct since it is a book published a hundred years ago.
