This page contains my application package for a job posting by the University of British Columbia. The package includes a cover letter, resume, and three letters requesting references. For convenience, I have added a web version of my resume as well.
This is the posting for the job I most want to acquire for this summer. It is a part of the UBC Vancouver Work Learn Program and the position is for a Student Assistant at the Geographic Information Centre at the University of British Columbia Vancouver Campus.
I designed this cover letter to include information about how my work history has given me experience when dealing with people from all walks of life. I have also made sure to bring to light my work on a farm on Vancouver Island and how I have attended business fairs in Vancouver and Toronto.
My resume is currently two pages long. However after reading other students resumes, which were very impressive I must say, I am considering shortening my own to one page. Although I do not have work experience in 2016 I am truly hoping I can gain some this summer!
I decided to contact three people in my life who I feel appreciate my work ethic and personality. I am confident these three can vouch for me and I believe that they are all in prestigious positions which hopefully add extra reliability to my application package.
