Unethcial Advertisment
I remember that I watched an adv. of Pepsi from the Internet a year ago. I am not sure it is real or not, I mean is it made by Pepsi or it is just a joy made by someone else. But it ‘s actually quite funny. There ‘s a little boy who is around 9 or 10 years old. He went to a vending machine in the street of a tropical country, which is obviously very hot. And he’s going to buy sth. But we don’t know what he was going to buy. There are buttons for Pepsi, Coke and some other drinks. At first, he pressed the button of Coke, which is below the button of Pepsi, and then a tin of Coke came out. He put it on the floor carefully. And then he bought another Coke and also put it on the floor. At that time I thought it was an adv. of Coke. But the following action proved that i was wrong. The little boy just step on these two cans of Coke by his two feet and press the button of Pepsi which he was too short to press. At last he got his favourite Pepsi and went away, left the Cokes staying in the same place.
So, it is a adv. about Pepsi, not Coke obviously. However I think it is not every ethical. Cuz an ethical adv. should base on the principle of fair competition. This adv. doesn’t show any facts to support its comparison between these two products, or brands. It just simply misleads the consumers to think that Pepsi is more popular than Coke, or Coke is not even for drink but just a kind of stepping-stone or sth.
