Hello UBC!
My name is Sebastian Piñeros and I am 18 years old. I already live in Vancouver but I am stoked to be attending UBC this year! I graduated from Templeton Secondary in East Vancouver and I was in the Mini School program; which was an unbelievable experience.
I am originally from Bogotá, Colombia and moved to Vancouver at the young age of 4. I am a mix of Colombian and German (from my mom’s side). But since being here in Canada I have not gotten a passport, hence, I have never been to the states… yet. Interesting fact: I am left-handed!
My interests include, of course, social media, I have made my own website (designed and edited my me), and have tinkered with HTML/CSS. I am also slowly learning American Sign Language (self taught for about 5 years) if anyone is interested! Music is one of my biggest interests. I will listen to literally everything as long as the beat is catchy. This includes Ariana Grande, Tori Kelly, Keri Hilson, Ed Sheeran, Carrie Underwood and more!
Another thing you should know about me is my obsession with Vanessa Hudgens. Ever since High School Musical came out almost 10 years ago, she has become my idol.
I will be entering the Faculty of Land and Food Systems specializing in Applied Animal Biology and I am excited to meet new people, learn new things. and create great experiences.
