Fifa has a very impressive marketing campaign. They have transformed football into a multi-billion dollar business. They sell everything from clothes to video games. Their video game is played by all kinds of people around the world and is one of their premier products.

I have recently started playing the game. It has all the different players and has every kind of match setting. They sell their product using the recognition of their own brand and that of the players in the game. The latest edition of the FIFA video game has chosen Kaka as their ambassador. The selection of the ambassador/cover face of FIFA games is crucial in attempting to reach out to even the apathetic sports fan. Kaka, as evident through his successes with the Brazilian team and more recently Real Madrid, perhaps the biggest sporting club in the world. Designing a video game merely dedicated to the “beautiful game,” watched by billions almost assures the people at Electronic Arts (EA SPORTS), the developer of the game, to cash in on a tremendous profit.
