Hi everyone!

I have never worked with iMovie nor Garageband up until taking this class and I thought it would be a good opportunity to further develop and refine my skills through the final project. I was involved in the pre-production, production and post-production for making this video. I came up with my own storyboard to create a short and simple story, I filmed the raw footage using my own DSLR camera, I edited and added the finishing touches in iMovie as well as creating my own music to use as the background music using Garageband. Indeed, it was a time-consuming process as I had to be flexible carrying out these diverse roles. However I am glad that I challenged myself  because I learned so much from utilizing various skills and integrating it with my own creativity.

This video is about a stressful student seemingly going through another ordinary day during finals. The girl wakes up, gets ready and goes to the library to study for her exams. Throughout the video, the student’s stress builds up as she rushes to get her studying done in a limited amount of time. However unexpectedly, she stumbles upon finding a door that leads her into the beautiful Nitobe Garden. She feels a sense of peace and finds the value of taking a short break amidst her finals madness. She finds joy in embracing the beauty around her and she is reminded again of the importance of finding balance in one’s life. The student then returns to her home to study with an enlightened heart and mind.
