Twitter explored a new way of making revenue and Facebook will follow

Twitter is now making more revenue by getting partnerships with  CBC, MTV and the NFL for TV tie-ins.

According to the analytics firm SocialGuide, within one minute there were about 22,373 tweets regarding to “Breaking Bad” during the recent finale. The reason why so many people talking about this tv series at that time was because 45% ads shown during at time invited audiences to communicate or make any comments on twitter. The power of social media is always amazing. Compared to the data taken last year, it increased 38 percent in the tweets which are talking about TV(263 million). Another example is about NFL, they posted some very short videos that are popular and excellent which can attract their followers’ attention.

Michael Pachter said TV deals will only take up one per cent in Twitter’s projected 2013 revenue(582 million), but the proportion will soar since the next year.

As we all know that Facebook and Twitter are always competitors in social network industry.  Facebook has announced that they will get in this door very soon. And obviously, Facebook has more users than Twitter, which can be a advantage. And as we can see, Facebook are following Twitter, for instance, Facebook invites celebrities to open accounts to communicate and chat with their fans. I am very excited to see how they gonna complete in the future when they almost look the same.

What Will Happen?

Business Ethics

Business ethics are more likely to be a way of self-control and regulation. And they involve many aspects such as environment, society, customers’ benefits and so on and they are not existing individually.

What I think is that business ethics are quite important for companies though they have a very strong brand name reputation in the world, because destroying is always coming faster than building something. Usually, large companies are paying more attention on the business ethics, cause it is more complicated for managers to control, so the regulation systems in that company must be developed.

Nowadays, there are various approaches for business to advertise their products right after the invention of the internet. However, we could commonly see how business participants disobey the ethics. For example, some online sellers cheat consumers by posting attractive pictures which are not mostly the same as what consumers get. And I think building a great image of your company no matter it is big or small can help you get more profits, cause consumers trust you and they are willing to do more business with you.

There is an interview that is based on the business ethics and the online businesses’ reputation.
