Training Program

The following exercise program was developed for a healthy, male senior looking to improve his overall health.  This particular individual was a former athlete and has stayed relatively active throughout the majority of his life.  His specific goals were as follows:

– increase of musculoskeltal endurance in order to increase his time spent on the golf course and to improve his ability to play with his grandchildren 

– increase range of motion of joints

– greater body awareness and body control

– create confidence in his exercise routine in order to continue living actively outside of training sessions

Please find below a 1 week training program (microcycle), a short-term program design (1 month – mesocycle), and a long-term program design (6 months – macrocycle)

**It is important to note that frequency, intensity, type, and time of activity will differ between each individual, and that the sample training program is designed specific to the client listed above.
