In your groups you are to use the provided Dichotomous keys to identify 15 individual flora and fauna. You will need to capture and record samples of each species (drawings, digital images, and leaves or flowers will be acceptable).

As your group works to identify the different species make note of any issues and difficulties you observed during the classification. Also consider how your use of the dichotomous key in the field compared to the sample one you created online. What issues might arise for scientists using them in the field?

Use your field notes and observations to prepare a single group presentation on the species you identified in a digital format and present it to the class at the end of the week. Each member of the group will need to select three organisms to create a “Taxanomic Biography”, based upon the 7 Taxa. This is to be submitted to Discussion Forum 3.
