How to “Flex” your way with teaching and learning innovations

Attend a 3-hour workshop with our guests, Dan Pratt (Professor of Adult & Higher Education) and Jeff Miller (Senior Associate Director) from the Centre for Teaching and Learning Technology (CTLT) at UBC.

Our workshop objectives are:

  1. Explore our current teaching and learning perspectives. Pre-work will include participant completion of Dan Pratt’s Teaching Perspectives Inventory (TPI). You can take the TPI at:http://www.teachingperspectives.com/tpi/
  2. Discuss the flexible learning initiative at UBC and the School of Nursing.
  3. Learn from colleagues: a brief presentation byNamsook Jahng (Instructional Designer) & Lucas Wright (Learning Technology Specialist from CTLT) about the procedures and examples of FL conversion in SoN; and Joanne Ricci & Ranjit Dhari (SoN Faculty) about their experiences with FL classes/modules in N336.
  4.     Plan for ‘next steps’ for flexible teaching and learning at the School of Nursing.
