This research project is funded by UBC’s Hampton Grant Program and it has two primary objectives.

The first is to enhance contemporary approaches to environmental education in BC by unearthing the overlooked historical dimension of children’s spatial relationship with the physical landscape.

The second is to use a theoretical and methodological framework that combines spatiality (children’s geographies) and temporality (the history of children) to highlight children’s perspectives on their experiences.
