If you want to be a Mechanical Engineer, one of the steps along the way is completing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering in an accredited program.
A lot of fun… (and some work, too)
Your days as an undergraduate can be the best days of your life. Mech undergrads work hard, but they play hard, too. In addition to a rigorous academic curriculum, students may join student design competition teams, play sports, join clubs, participate in student government, take on summer research positions, and get real world work experience through a cooperative education (coop) program. Many students also move out on their own for the first time during their undergraduate years, with many choosing to live in student residences.
A Balancing Act
The key to a successful undergraduate degree is balance. Balance between work and play, between academics and extra-curriculars. Balancing your time between trying new things and taking care of yourself.
Expand Your Mind
Your undergrad is a time to grow, to reach out and discover new things about the world, to stretch your mind and challenge it with new ideas and new ways of thinking. It is a time to define who you are and what you believe in.
“Ye can lead a man up to the university, but you can’t make him think.”
-Finley Peter Dunne
