Bio:

Gaby Pailer is a Professor of Germanic Studies at the Department of Central, Eastern and Northern European Studies at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Karlsruhe, Germany, in 1992. Her major research areas include drama and theatre studies from the early modern period to the early 20th century; literary Nietzsche reception in Fin-de-siècle feminism; German Classicism and Romanticism; the genre development of novella and novel from late medieval to modern; editorial and archival studies.
