Hey, my name is Tyler Farrago, I am an American born Canadian citizen. I grew up in New York, about 30 minutes out side of the big city in a place called Long Island. Coincidentally enough, thats exactly what it was: A long Island. My mother was born in Vancouver, thus giving me citizenship. I’m studying at UBC because I know the area very well,  as a call Vancouver my second home. Have tons of family and friends out here as well. Oh, and the cheap tuition. So I just watched “The War on Drugs” by Diane Keyes and Michelle Nzioki and I was thoroughly intrigued. For some odd reason I’ve always had an interest in the drug wars, cartels, etc. I believe the video is well made and with time and effort put in the right place. I especially liked how they included personal anecdote from a native columbian on the topic. I also viewed “Towards and Uncertain Future” by Hanna Dandarell and Cody Alba. Really interesting topic as I wasn’t aware of the immense incapabilities of the Mexican government during their time of crisis. I found the fact that buildings were not built to code due to corruption and briberies was very interesting. Overall solid video with good visuals.
