Peyton Manning is the most badass mentor.
Or maybe not.
But I’d like to start with a short story that will hope to illustrate the value mentoring can provide after the break:

Ed and Larry were extremely close with the late Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple Computers.
This interview, commemorating his life contained a lot of quotes with inspiration and motivation about Steve Jobs that we can live by.
Below I have quoted and noted some of the key things from this 40 minute All Things Digital conference interview (embedded at the end of this article) that made an impact on me.

The apple guy always seems to have some inspirational and motivational videos:

Your mind is socially conditioned to tell you when you are not following instructions, and has been socially conditioned to tell you what is and what is not acceptable in society.
Wikipedia defines Social conditioning as the: sociological process of training individuals in a society to respond in a manner generally approved by the society in general and peer groups within society.

Watching this strangely insightful interview with Louis CK provided me motivation and inspiration to write this post:
In my personal life, I know I have complained about my smartphone because it was laggy at times. I have been fortunate to grow up in a generation with amazing technology, and live among amazing individuals like Steve Jobs and Randy Pausch. I live in a world where I can order a latte directly through my phone, where I no longer need this to take a photo after the break:
Clever LOLs – Finding Nemo 2 Twitter Response
Laughter is extremely important in our everyday lives. So I started this section “Laugh Everyday” noted in the taskbar above containing things I’ve found funny.
I was on twitter, and found this. Apparently they are making a Finding Nemo 2:
[Music] A magic pill for procrastination providing motivation and inspiration
Music is a magical thing. It can change our mood almost instantly. Even though I am not a big country artist, this insightful song provided me a lot of motivation and inspiration. Listen closely to the lyrics. It reminds me a famous quote from the late Steve Jobs:
“If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today? And whenever the answer has been “No” for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.”
