Site Rebranding: Clever Motivation to 3 Step Motivation

Look forward to exciting stuff in the coming weeks 🙂

Why I am re-branding from “Clever Motivation” to “3 Step Motivation”:

When the site was Clever Motivation, people asked me, “WTF Frank, what does that even mean“? Especially those on 3 Step Motivation’s Facebook Fanpage. (If you haven’t liked the page, what are you waiting for? 😉 )

I had a huge brainstorm session with some friends, and eventually settled on “3 Step Motivation”, which illustrates what all the content I was uploading was centered around. “Actionable steps to gaining the motivation you need to finding and pursue your passions“, paying forward what I had learned.

In the coming weeks, I will be re-branding the site, and adding content more in line with the above statement.

After the break is my story as to  why I started 3 Step Motivation:

Inspirational and motivational interview with Steve Job’s two close friends

Inspirational and motivational interview with Walt Mossberg, Dr. Ed Catmull, President of Walt Disney Animation Studios, and Larry Ellison, CEO of Oracle Corp on Steve Jobs – PART 2

Ed and Larry were extremely close with the inspirational Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple Computers.

Below is part 2 of some of the motivational and inspirational life quotes from a 40 minute All Things Digital conference interview that made an impact on me. You can access part 1 here.

I asked him at the grand opening of the first Apple store: “You’re only going to open like a dozen of these right? I mean they are showcase things”. And he looked at me like I just landed from Mars and he said, “Oh we are building a lot, a lot, a lot of these. We are going to make this work right”.

Ed and Larry were extremely close with the late Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple Computers.

The simple thing that seperates the greats from the goods – Motivational and Inspirational Blog

The apple guy always seems to have some inspirational and motivational videos:

Most people never ask, and that’s what separates the people that do things and the people that dream. ~ Steve Jobs

Your mind is socially conditioned to tell you when you are not following instructions, and has been socially conditioned to tell you what is and what is not acceptable in society.

Wikipedia defines Social conditioning as the: sociological process of training individuals in a society to respond in a manner generally approved by the society in general and peer groups within society.

[Video] Everything is amazing and nobody is happy – Motivation and Inspiration

Watching this strangely insightful interview with Louis CK provided me motivation and inspiration to write this post:

In my personal life, I know I have complained about my smartphone because it was laggy at times. I have been fortunate to grow up in a generation with amazing technology, and live among amazing individuals like Steve Jobs and Randy Pausch. I live in a world where I can order a latte directly through my phone, where I no longer need this to take a photo after the break:

[Music] A magic pill for procrastination providing motivation and inspiration

Music is a magical thing. It can change our mood almost instantly. Even though I am not a big country artist, this insightful song provided me a lot of motivation and inspiration. Listen closely to the lyrics. It reminds me  a famous quote from the late Steve Jobs:

“If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today? And whenever the answer has been “No” for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.”

Have a listen to Tim McGraw’s “Live Like You Were Dying” after the break:
