Most things you think are problems aren’t really problems

92% percent of people’s time are spent on problems that aren’t real or are insignificant.

Check out the breakdown of problems you think you have after the break:

30% – things that may never happen

40% – things that happened in the past but can’t be changed

12% – needless problems about our health

10% – petty, miscellaneous worries

8% – real legitimate problems

You will achieve what you think about. The key thing that sets humans apart from every other species on earth is their mind, and the complex processes that scientists to this day have not been able to fully understand. Believe that it is capable of an infinite number of possibilities. And as you may have heard before, few people ever tap into anything beyond 6-10% of their minds capabilities . Many people think they can’t learn 40 languages, and so it becomes self fulfilling. “The next time you say you can’t, think of it as “I choose not to spend my time in that manner“. That’s something I learned from J. Gitomer’s book “The Little Gold Book of Yes Attitude”

The only thing about a man that is a man is his mind, everything else you can find in a pig or a horse” – Archibald MacLeish

Here is an action plan:

Take 1 hour/day 5 days a week – take a blank sheet of paper, write down a primary goal, and think of as many ways to improve upon it as you can everyday. Think of 20 things you can do to complete your goal and take action on them. Not all of them will be good, so filter through them.

Take away points:

  1. Spend one hour/day generating as many ideas as you can on a specific goal
  2. Successful people are people who have solved their problems
  3. Don’t waste time and energy thinking of needless problems.

Successful people do what most unsuccessful people won’t do

Successful people are consistent, they will be here next year

Successful people stay in the fire

I encourage you to watch the following video from the Great Earl Nightingale. Most of the above content was from this video:

  1. You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be actually something that I think I would never understand. It seems too complex and very broad for me. I’m looking forward for your next post, I’ll try to get the hang of it!

  2. There are certainly a lot of details like that to take into consideration. That is a great point to bring up. I offer the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you bring up where the most important thing will be working in honest good faith. I don?t know if best practices have emerged around things like that, but I am sure that your job is clearly identified as a fair game. Both boys and girls feel the impact of just a moment’s pleasure, for the rest of their lives.
