[Music] A magic pill for procrastination providing motivation and inspiration

Music is a magical thing. It can change our mood almost instantly. Even though I am not a big country artist, this insightful song provided me a lot of motivation and inspiration. Listen closely to the lyrics. It reminds meĀ  a famous quote from the late Steve Jobs:

“If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today? And whenever the answer has been “No” for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.”

Have a listen to Tim McGraw’s “Live Like You Were Dying” after the break:

It’s very easy to be complacent, especially where I live. The level of stress in the province is much less compared to our US counterparts. When I first started this inspiration and motivation blog, I looked forward to posting new content the first few weeks. Then I hit a roadblock, lost motivation and stopped posting. But I later recalled WHY I started this blog in the first place.

When we lose motivation in something, it’s important to recall why we started it in the first place. This is why having definiteness of purpose is extremely important.

Despite have definiteness of purpose, procrastination befalls all of us at some point. Your brain wants to conserve energy, it’s just a human tendency, so don’t beat yourself up because of it. As this video shows, most often, that one last ditch effort can make all the difference between being successful and not. So when you are going to give up, push yourself just a little more, and you’ll be amazed at the outcome.

ACTION STEP: Have a playlist of music that motivates you, and listen to it when you are about to give up. Then be pleasantly surprised at the result.
