So if you aren’t a thorough enough facebook stalker (like moi thank you very much its a refined skill), you may not have noticed that I haven’t posted any of my own photos to facebook. There are irrational reasons behind this. Let’s keep it mysterious shall we?
Therefore, here are fifteen photos I have chosen from my elite collection for your enjoyment. I will post more from October onwards as well, but I thought 15 at a time would be easier to take in 🙂
AAaaaaaand I just realized that I already made a post about my trip to Oaxaca, where most of these photos are from. Thats okay, I spent too much time on this to delete it so enjoy! I will post newer photos soon!

My relationship with churches in Mexico are a love hate thing at best but I can’t deny that they are beautiful. But fuck dude, most often these churches are built on top of sacred Indigenous sites, made with the material of the previous sites and constructed with the blood and sweat of Indigenous slaves. So yeah, it’s impossible to simple enjoy them once you know the context of how they came to be.
Well, this isn’t my best photo of the main church/cathedral in Oaxaca, but I wanted to capture all dat intricate detail on the entrance ceiling.

Your pain is my pain
They took them alive,
We want them back alive”
In solidarity with those affected by Ayotzinapa and the fight for justice of the missing 43 students, as well as all others who have suffered at the hands of Mexican narcopolitics and corruption.

An awesome cultural experience thanks to my Mexican sister. She took me to a quince años. Turning 15 for a girl in Mexico is a really big deal, and it was interesting to see all the money and effort and time that went into this event. I loved:
-That her name was Dulce (“sweet”) so there was a big table dedicated to different candies and desserts
-The various costume changes
-That it was basically like a wedding
-The birthday girl has a guy-entourage with her of family members and friends and together do different coordinated dance numbers
-Open bar woooooo. LETS KEEP IT CLASSY
