Astonishing news about the 12 people committed suicide  in a short period of time in Foxconn factory in China surprised the public in 2010.

Foxconn is one of the biggest electronic manufacture in the world. They are the main supplier for Apple.

Many people claim that low wage and unpleasant working environment for the workers are the main reasons that cause people who committed suicide in the factory. But are these really the reasons way people in Foxconn factory committed suicide?

The first  person who committed suicide was paid 350,000 RMB (55,800 CND), and this is a lot of money for the poor workers (workers are mainly from poor families). Every person who committed suicide in Foxconn got paid at a range of 100,000RMB to 250,000 RMB. Among the workers, people say that “If you committed suicide in Foxconn, you can save your whole family.” Is it possible that “mimicking” were one of the reasons that people committed suicide in such a short period of time?  Or is it possible that these workers committed suicide to get the money?

I am not denying the fact that Foxconn is paying a low wage to the workers, I just want to say that is it fair to blame this whole suicide event solely on Foxconn?
