Description:
My three works share a common theme of hope. The first painting is called “The Sakura”, which is painted by acrylic paints. The back ground of this painting is lavender and pink, goes well with the dotted flower at the front. Noticeably, I intentionally used red and darker pink to have a distinct gradation, and it made me think of fire. Sakura is a fragile flower, the season of it is only 2 weeks, but with the fire, it could flash and burn for a while, and it is not fragile any more. The second painting is also painted by acrylic paints, it is called “Dream”, just like that classic work of Pablo Picasso, it is absolutely abstract. I’d like to show a dream of the abnormal kid, to show how beautiful his mind could be and how we are abnormal and not creative compared to him. The video was created together by me and two of my friends, who are both interested in making short movies. The first part of the movie was glancing on a school and her emotional transforms. The music and angles shifts with her emotion and finally, we used frames to show the steady and firm mind she finally achieved. The three pieces show three stages of hope: destroying, changing aspects and searching and reforming.
