Marketing is often thought of as the smoke and mirrors used by businesses to leverage the most money possible out of the buying public. But, at UBC’s Sauder School of Business, professors often look at this relationship from the consumers’ perspective to understand marketing’s effects and possible abuses. The research presented in this forum seeks to demystify marketing practices to empower consumers.
