Jan Lüdert holds a PhD from the department of Political Science at the University of British Columbia and is a Liu scholar alumni at the Liu Institute for Global Issues. He received a Masters of Arts in International Relations from the Australian National University and a Bachelor of Business Administration and Public Policy from Hamburg University for Economics and Politics. Jan studied at the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania focusing on sociology and economics. Prior to his graduate work, he coordinated grassroots’ community programs in Botswana for two years. This work in the non-governmental sector spurred his interest in transnational politics and international ethics. His dissertation focuses on the interactions of non-state actors and intergovernmental organizations in relation to state sovereignty.
