e-Portfolios @ UBC – Archive of Projects

With the completion of the e-portfolio pilot project at UBC, the departments involved have outlined a summary of the successes and suggested improvements to the program. To download the Education (Master’s of Education and Teacher Education ) portfolio report, click here.

The BC Teacher Qualification Service (TQS) has asked that all Masters students in Education who are teachers show evidence of a “culminating experience” that provides evidence of professional and academic reflection over distance programs. This project implemented the e-portfolio as a way for students to document and reflect on their culminating experience. A key benefit to students in this project is that education graduate students will engage technology that is likely to have significant applicability in schools.

Dr. Marion Porath from the Masters of Education program, worked with the KEEP Toolkit Team to put together a case study for her take on e-portfolios using the KEEP Toolkit.

The case study provides background information of Marion’s course and also showcases a number of example e-portfolios from her students.
