INVITATION TO ATTEND THE PLAY DISSOLVE

A Message from Dean Robert Helsley – INVITATION TO ATTEND THE PLAY DISSOLVE

Dear Members of the Sauder Community,

I know that all of you, like me, have been thinking about how we can build and maintain a conversation throughout the school about the importance of a culture of respect and responsibility.  Along these lines, we will be offering a series of events, incorporating speakers and performing arts presentations, that help us learn about and think about such a culture (and its alternatives). Our initial offering in this series will be a locally developed, nationally touring one-woman play about sexual assault. In the play Dissolve, UBC alumna Meghan Gardiner uses emotion and humour to explore this important and difficult topic. I would encourage you to see this inspirational and entertaining piece of theatre that has made an impact on campuses and community theatres across North America.

The play is approximately 45 minutes, followed by a Q&A period with Meghan.

RSVP on Eventbrite to one of three free performances:

You can learn more about Meghan and her play in a recent feature in the Globe and Mail:
