From Ghost to Flesh: Single Motherhood in the City
Part One – From Isolation to Community

Join us for an evening of participatory dialogue (including popular theatre!) and celebratory performances. We challenge the violence of poverty, racism and hetero-patriarchy that isolate us from each other, individuate us in our experiences and prevent us from collectively organizing. We believe mothering can be a revolutionary practice to build a world that is more just and loving.. As we struggle for liberating conditions of motherhood, we want to listen and learn from people, especially those who practice mothering, in our community! So please come out and share your dreams and challenges with us.
This event is FREE, with on-site childcare (we have an amazing and experienced crew of childcare organizers!).
Special invite to single mothers and our children, especially those who identify as indigenous, racialized/of colour, and poor/low-income. If you are a mama and you are interested in performing something (poem, song, story…) please get in touch with us (see contact info below).
