I am a third year student at the University of British Columbia in the Faculty of Land and Food Systems, majoring in Global Resource Systems. As a requirement of the program, I declare a resource specialization – ethnobotany – and a regional specialization – British Columbia. The program has allowed me to explore a wide range of subjects pertaining to the environment and sustainability, with particular focus on various food systems. I hope to gain a greater understanding of natural resource management and the policies that drive it through this course and this investigation.
