The Agronomy Garden is a student-run community garden at the corner of Main Mall and Agronomy Road at the UBC Vancouver campus. It is situated on the unceded, traditional, and ancestral lands of the Musqueam people.
This place serves as much more than just a site for food production. The purpose of the garden is to showcase a model for environmental and social stewardship through plants and food. Plants and food are what bring us together, but what we aim to cultivate is community, and ideas for thinking about the food system differently.
The Agronomy Garden, as one that is visible and centrally located, also serves as an invitation point for all students, faculty, staff, and community members to engage in the UBC Food System. We believe that there is enormous opportunity for innovation by getting everybody involved.
