PGM = Papyrae Graecae Magicae = Greek Magical Papyri. This is a collection of magical texts from Graeco-Roman Egypt in (mainly) ancient Greek. Of all the easily available introduction to this collection and its history, I think the Wikipedia entry is best, although it pains me to say it.
