Dear Customer, This e-mail is to notify you that there has been a Blackboard Collaborate Support Update.

Blackboard Collaborate – Web Conferencing Hosted Notifications

Subject: Important Service Notification – Web Conferencing – Post Service Disruption

Date: Wednesday, December 19, 2012

Affected Users: All Web Conferencing and Elluminate Live! V10 Users

Details: 

Earlier today Blackboard Collaborate experienced intermittent network connectivity issues. The issues were experienced during the following time frames:

  • Approximately 11:00 – 11:37 (GMT-5 / US Eastern)
  • Approximately 13:00 – 13:41
  • Approximately 14:15 – 16:05

Users may have experienced the following issues:

  • Latency when accessing SAS, Web Conferencing or Elluminate Live! V10
  • Slowness when accessing services
  • Inability to connect to services

We have identified the cause of the service disruptions and are working to update our infrastructure to prevent future reoccurences.
