We have updated UBC Blogs to WordPress 3.6.1 and during the upgrade we also decided to update the look and feel (which had not been refreshed since 2011).
From the functional perspective, everything remains the same, except that we are making access to groups and forums slightly less obvious as part of the long term plan to phase them out. These features have had very limited use while significantly adding to the complexity of running the service. Groups and forums can still be accessed through links in the footer.
We are planning to add more features that will not only provide better alternatives to groups and forums, but also add to the usability and application of this service for teaching, learning and for other needs.
