Hey welcome to my Amazing boblog!

What’s a boblog you may be wondering? Well good thing you don’t ask the questions around here!

The other day I was in the bar and I started talking to a girl who appeared to be normal but she actually turned out to be totally wasted! She immediately started coming on to me and touching my leg and stuff because my personality is basically a ten out of ten plus I’m way sexy.  So we start making out all over the bar and she’s still super wasted and then I gotta go to the washroom so I’m all like “I gotta go to the washroom”. When I come back she’s totally all over some other dude! So I’m thinkin no big deal whateves but also kinda heartbroken. Anyways the dude turns around and I see that he looks exactly like me! Oh shiz I realize that she thinks that he’s me! So I go up to the dude and I’m like “WTF dude that girl was just all up on me!” and he was pretty understanding. Noticing that there was only one drunk girl and two of us, he challenged me to a single game of Rock Paper Scissors winner takes all.  I thought scissors would do the trick but should’ve recognized the drunken rock look in his eyes.  Needless to say I lost.  Really goes to show that no matter how well you market your product (myself in this case) there are always intangible factors (the other dude and his RPS skills) that can affect your outcome. You must remember to always consider how your competition will react to your moves (new advertisements). Make sure to tune in next week for more wacky adventures in the life of me!

Hey Everyone!

Wow who thought we could learn so much about marketing in so little time? As I become more aware of the marketing around me, I have notice that the dynamic of the marketing industry is changing. With the introduction of Personal Video Recorders (PVR), people are no longer watching as many commercials as they once were. The people who are able to afford these convinient but pricey devices happen to be part of an important demographic that many businesses attempt to cater to: people with disposable income. Marketers have recognized this problem and they now have to find different ways to ensure thier message reaches it’s target. Examples of this are the dramatic increase in product placement directly into the television shows, sporting events, and movies we watch. Even many textbooks seem to have advertising content now!   I believe this illustrates the fact that marketers must constantly adapt to changing technology and industy dynamics. This is why creative, innovative and adaptable people are the ones who will go furthest in this industry.
