Dear UBC School of Nursing Community,
As we continue with Thrive Month, we’re thrilled to announce the activities planned for Weeks 3 and 4 and to congratulate our Week 1 and Week 2 challenge winner, Par Bordbar!
Let’s keep the momentum going and make the rest of November a time of wellness, growth, and positivity!
Week 3: Help the Planet Thrive (Nov 18th – 22nd)
This week is all about connecting with nature and contributing to a healthier environment. Learn how plants thrive and make a difference in combating global warming by adding greenery around you. I’ll provide 75 baby plants waiting to be adopted into new homes – feel free to pick one up at the Thrive Corner!
“Thrive with Plants Challenge”: Share a photo or video showing your engagement with your plants and how it enhances your mental health. Embrace this connection with nature and show us how plants help you Thrive!
How to Participate: Email your photo or video to thriveatubcnursing2024@gmail.com with the following details:
Your full name
The activity you’re submitting for (e.g., “Week 3 Thrive with Plants Challenge”)
Consent to share your submission with the School of Nursing, UBC, or on Thrive social media, and whether you’d like your name included.
The top three participants will win a special Thrive package aligned with the week’s wellness themes!
Week 4: Give Back & Thrive Together (Nov 25th – 29th)
Let’s spread positivity and support one another! Share “Thrive Notes” with your fellow students by posting them on the Thrive Board. I’ll provide punch or sheets – feel free to grab some and post your notes.
“Thriving by Giving Back Challenge”: Share a story or a post about how giving back helps you Thrive and builds a stronger community.
How to Participate: Email your story or post to thriveatubcnursing2024@gmail.com with:
