‘Entrepreneurship 101’ is a popular, cross-faculty course developed and taught at UBC’s Sauder School of Business. Officially listed as Comm 280, this lively, interactive course explores entrepreneurial essentials from creating viable opportunities through building a founding team, strategic planning, going to market, fleshing out the organization and looking ahead to the future of the business and the founder’s place within it.

Local entrepreneurs visit class to talk about their experiences and field questions. Throughout the course, students apply course concepts to an Entrepreneurship Portfolio built around how their own entrepreneurial ventures might unfold.
