“Approaching Jesuit Missionary Literature: The Case of the Relations de la Nouvelle-France (1632-72)”

Adrien Paschoud received his doctorate from the University of Lausanne and is currently doing research at the Fonds national suisse de la recherche scientifique. His publications include nearly 30 articles and edited books on various topics of French early modern literature. His early works examined travel literature and early ethnographic accounts of European travelers in the New World and in the Orient during the 17th and 18th centuries. His first book, Le Monde amérindien au miroir des « Lettres édifiantes et curieuses », was published by the Voltaire Fondation in 2008.
