Hi Parents,
- Radical list
Chinese characters are like puzzles. Radicals are mostly used parts in puzzles. Generally speaking, they also bring some meaning with them. For examples, 氵usually means water. So you can find this radical in 溪creek, 河river, 湖lake, 海洋ocean. To some extent, radicals work like prefix or suffix in English language. This term we started to learn radicals to decode Chinese characters.
Below is the list which includes the radicals we learned. We don’t have time to learn all of them this term. Next term, we are going to continue to learn these radicals.
Please note some radicals are characters as well. So you can find Pinyin. The radicals that are not used as characters won’t have Pinyin. You can find meaning of radicals and the dictation words or commonly used words with this radicals in the third column.
