Hi Professor Paterson,
I have created and attached my proposal for my English 301 report. I have chosen a subject that I am passionate about – reducing plastic waste. I believe that I can produce a means to not only reduce plastic waste from UBC food vendors (cups, straws, cutlery, takeout containers, etc) by providing environmentally friendly alternatives, but also reduce the cost of these alternatives through supply chain management.
The research proposal includes:
- An overview of the worldwide plastic pollution crisis
- How I will be finding appropriate environmentally-friendly alternatives to single-use plastics
- Overview of supply chain management changes to provide lower cost single-use items
- A detailed scope of the proposed report
- Methods of acquiring data from UBC food vendors and local suppliers
- My qualifications for investigating this issue
