Hello Brionne,

I have peer reviewed and listed herein suggestions and reflections on the professionalism and respectability of your LinkedIn profile.

  1. Profile and cover photos
    • Your profile photo offers a clear view of you in a professional setting with a friendly demeanor. This is an excellent choice of photograph.
  2. Occupation Title
    • Occupation title clearly and accurately represents your current field of expertise
  3. Summary
    • Your summary clearly states your current education status and future expectations for education.
    • You have clearly stated key accomplishments and experience in your field of research.
    • Relevant job experience is also included in this section and is succinctly summarised to give an idea of the position without providing too much information.
    • Since your skills are not sufficiently detailed in your profile, this section could be used to better connect your experiences or personality traits to these skills, to emphasize their legitimacy.
  4. Experience and Education
    • Unless incorrectly displaying for me, it appears that you might have listed your work as a Behavioural Interventionist at Autism BC twice in the Experience section of your LinkedIn profile. Deleting the entry that does not have a text description will ensure a clean look in the Experience Section.
    • As you have done with the description of your work as a UBC Research Intern, consider adding a more thorough description of your responsibilities to the Autism BC entry.
    • Volunteer experience descriptions, despite being brief, are sufficient and explanatory. If either of your volunteer experiences required further explanation, I would suggest expanding on the work you helped with as a Research Assistant in the frontotemporal Dementia study.
  5. Skills and Endorsements
    • Skills are properly listed, although you may want to consider creating some more skill names that will be easy to garner endorsements for.
  6. Accomplishments
    • Your accomplishments section is well laid out. This section is always challenging because the items are hidden in drop down menus. For this reason, it might be worth mentioning in your summary your language capabilities as well as the projects you have worked on and presented.
  7. Interests
    • It might be worth considering finding some topics and organisations to follow that pertain to your interests, and you follow them so that viewers can see you are an active participant in your field of research.
  8. Conclusion
    • The following conclude observations that I made that would improve the appearance and presentation of your profile:
      1. Market your skills and capabilities, as well as project history towards the end of your summary, connect these with the skills you mention here.
      2. Expand your descriptions of your experiences with Autism BC and as a UBC research assistant.
      3. Delete duplicate work entry
      4. Create more skill entries in the Skills section to receive more endorsements for more abilities.

It was a pleasure to review your work and I hope this is of use to you.

Regards,

Tamar Tucker-Harrison
