Subject:           Progress Report on Formal Report

As stated in our ENGL 301 assignment 2:3, I have compiled a progress report on my topic of “Replacing Paper Cups with an Ecologically Better Material” on this memorandum. I have addressed the issues you have suggested online, below.

  1. Audience:
    1. The formal report that the research is based on will be towards the Board of Directors of Costa Coffee Kazakhstan. It will be addressed specifically to the chief of logistics and management, as the research will cover Costa Coffee Kazakhstan’s future into environmentally friendly cups use experience.
  2. Purpose of the Report:
    1. The purpose of the report is to introduce the ecological and health issues related to the use of paper cups and address the available substitutes of the paper cups. I will analyze and draw conclusions from the environmental, health and cost impacts of the replacement of paper cups with the eco-friendly substitutes.
  3. Significance of the Report:
    1. With the current state of the ecology in Kazakhstan, the change in the coffee and tea cups culture is necessarily. The continuous use of the paper cups, that are unsuitable for recycling create additional problem to the environment of the country. Also, some studies have found the linkage between the chemical content of paper cups and health issues, such as breast cancer. Therefore, the replacement is vital for both, environment and people.
  4. Research Plan:
    1. Identifying the Problem
      1. In full detail, describing the problem and potential to remedy the situation with the findings on this research paper
    2. Primary Sources
      1. Taking rounds of survey with willing customers and company workers.
    3. Collection and Compiling of Data
      1. After collecting and, comparing data, compiling all to a single coherent form.
    4. Solution
      1. If the cost analysis shows insignificant differences and analysis of environmental impact for this replacement shows strong bias, final conclusion will be made in a positive manner. If results are not significant enough, a full report on limitations of the research will be written about.
    5. Research Schedule
