What: I was the project manager, web developer and instructional designer on this project that my partner and I completed for the Union of BC Indian Chiefs. Specific claims are claims made by first nations groups for remuneration for land that was originally alloted to their band and was cut off or reduced by federal or provincial governments. The goal of the tutorial was to develop an interactive course that was visually based and would lead learners through the process of researching and submitting a specific claim. It had to weave in the historical era and the background of the early reserves and subsequent cut-offs. It also had to be interesting and easy to navigate for a range of computer users most been novice.
