Artifact: Presentation, PPT, and Blog
Date: Nov. 2007
Course: e-Coaching practicum
Competency: Effective Instructional Practice, knowledge of learning approaches and principles

This us a group presentation/workshop I co-facilitated as a requirement for a graduate level class on program planning theory. We tried to integrate both online and face-to-face learning for this presentation. We developed a PPT show and discussions for the class presentation. However we also set up a blog early in the process. The blog served as an information repository, a means for the facilitators to communicate throughout the process and as a permanent artifact after the delivery of the presentation. We also employed the blog in class and encouraged learners to view it throughout the in-class presentation and contribute entries to it at the end of the class. The purpose of this was to allow the learners to consider the role of the online environment and to connect the learners in both online and offline spaces.
