The Teaching, Learning and Technology series is a speakers series offered free to the UBC community. I coordinated the program from 2010-2013 and had the opportunity to engage faculty and staff at UBC around teaching, learning and technology. One of the key aspects to coordinating this program was finding topics and speakers that are valuable and timely for the community. The events were well-attended with 30-50 faculty and staff attending each event. The events also helped to engage the community and start to build community networks in Game-based learning, the flipped classroom and teaching and learning with mobile device.
