As part of my role as a learning technology specialist at the University of British Columbia, I supported the migration from the WebCT Vista learning management system to the Blackboard Learn 9.1 LMS. This transition impacted all online and blended courses at the University.
As a learning technology specialist I worked with faculty proving functional and teaching and learning support. This varied from system administration, adding users, troubleshooting system errors to course design support to discussing their overall learning context and considering how different technologies meet their teaching and learning goals.
