Hi everyone, My name is Rifa Lalani. Currently in Toronto working as a faculty assistant at York university, a role where I get to dip my toes in many facets of higher education, though a large part of it is restricted to administrative tasks. I completed my undergraduate in History and Psychology from Queen’s University where I was drawn most to developmental psychology courses, discovering the ways in which we learn. This was also a time where I was able to volunteer with and teach students from a variety of backgrounds and ages, but ultimately decided that I enjoyed the planning and designing aspect more than the teaching. So I’m hoping to switch to a role with allows me to be directly involved in these areas. This is my 4th MET course (how time flies!). I’m looking forward to interacting with all of you!
Sharing a picture of pretzels I recently baked!
Hi Rifa! Those pretzels look fantastic! Looking forward to learning with you!
Thanks Adrian!
Hi Rifa,
We took 512 over the summer together; now onto our next venture! Also, seems like you’re on the same pace as I am with three MET courses under your belt, and on your fourth. Looking forward to learning and creating with you again this term.
Neal
Hi Neal,
Yes, always good to see familiar names!
Lovely to meet you, Rifa. Those pretzels of yours look scrumptious.
Thanks Erica! Nice to e-meet you as well!
Nice to meet you, Rifa!
I love the energy my students bring to my class, but I can DEFINITELY feel the draw to focusing on the design side. Looking forward to learning with you!
Lovely to meet you Laura and looking forward to more interactions!
Hi Rifa,
York University is a great university. I also studied at Queens University to obtain a dipoma in special education. I also took an ELL course at Queen’s University. Of the 4 MET courses you’ve taken so far, what was the most valuable for your learning?
