Didi Gan: Founders Parade

Didi Gan founded the company N&En Innovations. It takes food waste and transforms it into valuable products instead of going to the landfills. They have a patented “natural antimicrobial agent Vikang99” which is part of the products they derive. They extract certain components and the remaining cellulosic fibres are used as packaging so the company is zero-waste. The goal of their company is to better the sustainability initiatives by being zero-waste, offering a sustainable alternative to chemical-based disinfectants, and reducing greenhouse gas productions and carbon footprints.

She was featured on Business.com as the “Emerging Enterprises 2023”.

Didi Gan began her entrepreneurial journey at the age of 21 when she applied for funding from IE Singapore to start a chain of frozen yogurt stores in China. She expanded these to 5 franchises in only 2 years. She shifted her focus to cotton fabrics that are much more durable and made that into 50million sales within 2 years. This started her on the path of sustainability business ventures.

She is inspiring and I wanted to highlight entrepreneurs who hold sustainability and ecology at the heart of their ventures.
