I chose to analyze Schoo for this assignment because it represents a leading-edge example of Japan’s rapidly evolving EdTech market, particularly in the area of corporate and professional lifelong learning. Schoo’s innovative live, interactive learning platform addresses critical workforce development needs amid Japan’s demographic challenges and digital transformation initiatives. Its strong market presence, scalable subscription model, and alignment with government priorities make it an ideal subject for evaluating investment potential in a high-growth, technology-driven education sector.
The biggest downside I see currently is that Schoo still emphasizes live learnings, which will be resource intensive in an AI-driven world. This is the gap that I would like to approach for my Pitch later in this course.
