The ABCs of AI Activity Deck for Kids is a screen-free educational product designed to introduce young children to artificial intelligence. Created by AiDigiCards, the deck uses illustrated cards, simple explanations, stories, games, and activities to help early learners explore basic AI concepts in an age-appropriate way.
The venture is positioned around the growing need for AI literacy as children are increasingly exposed to artificial intelligence through apps, search tools, smart devices, and online learning platforms. Rather than relying on screens or complex software, the activity deck presents AI concepts through hands-on and discussion-based learning that can be used by families, teachers, libraries, and after-school programs.
The Kickstarter campaign offers individual decks as well as options to support wider access through school and community use. It also presents the possibility of expanding AI literacy resources for younger learners beyond a single deck.

NO, I would not invest in this venture.
The venture itself is certainly relevant and I think the overall direction is good. The story behind how the idea started also makes sense—the scenario of AI teaching kids about how to use AI helps convince customers why this venture might be important. Up to this point, I think the idea itself is interesting.
However, as an EVA, I would be a bit skeptcial about the following things. First is the longevity of this product. Unlike card or board games (although it presents itself as a card game), ABCs of AI appears to package information into a card game format. Information becomes outdated, especially when discussing something as fast-changing as AI. This makes me wonder whether the product would still feel relevant years from now.
Second, as I read through the product descriptions, it still remains unclear what exactly the game is teaching about AI. It is repeatedly highlighted that the game will teach the “A–Z of AI,” which implies teaching everything someone needs to know about AI. This feels overly broad and leaves me skeptical about whether the venture can realistically deliver on this promise. Based on the repeated messaging about children navigating a deceptive internet world, it would make sense if the focus were on topics such as AI risks, misinformation, digital literacy, or internet safety. However, this is never clearly established.
The pitch leaves me with some questions as well. Throughout the pitch, the advertisers in the videos repeatedly mention not wanting children to stay glued to their phones all day. This is overly repeated that it sounds like the problem behind this venture is excessive screen time or lack of supervision. If the problem is excessive screen time, then the solution would logically be something entertaining enough to compete with devices. However, this venture is an educational AI product rather than entertainment designed to replace screen use. So, this messaging feels somewhat disconnected from the actual product.
Overall, I think the venture addresses a relevant topic and starts from a strong idea, but the pitch did not clearly communicate what the product specifically teaches to the customers and failed make a strong connection between its message in the advertisement to the product’s purpose.
No, I would not invest in this venture. I love the idea behind this venture because it addresses a critical problem we are seeing in the children of today– excessive screen time. It goes back to the traditional, family entertainment environment- (a deck of cards for the family to play, or a board game night). The video is great, the voices are not AI-generated.. I would have preferred to see human actors, although the “illustrations” type of explaining is eye-catching as well. The problem lies here in the purpose of this product though, and the way the purpose is explained. I am not clear on what direction they are taking for their pitch. It seems like it is marketing that kids will have a chance to learn something from their families over board game night/ from a physical product rather than a screen for a change. It seems to want to educate kids on AI which is important, but after they have done that, and the kids have gone through the deck of cards– what’s next? I question the longevity of this product. I appreciate that this venture had video reviews from real parents that appreciate the product, however even the reviews were not super detailed on how it benefited their kids. They were just re-stating what the campaign video said, and vouching for it- that is not enough to get me to want to invest in the product. This product has potential but it is not ground-breaking in it’s idea and marketing, and so I will pass on investing.
