Good day to all! I have been working at the University of Toronto for around 10 years now. I completed my undergrad last fall from RRU! (yes never too late to learn), and got into this program last fall and had to defer it to spring. I also got surprise news of getting accepted into a Master’s at OCAD so I will mull over that excitement for a moment :).
I’m a travel photographer, pianist and until a few years ago was into astronomy (miss my scopes) and still am, but more theoretical at this point. I am indeed a live long learner on Coursera, Edx and few others to try to understand concepts and ideas that will become useful in time at work or in life in general.
I am currently the go to individual for assisting with educational technology in HR in when providing training for staff. Hence, with the advent of Covid, I am more busy than I was at the office. I downloaded an organizer called NOTION to help me organize my life now since, multi tasking can exhaust you, especially at home!
I spent a month or so in NZ few years ago and also another in Mexico and love culture, nature and appreciate what it means to be alive, what not take things for granted with what we have today. (bless Canada).
Reach out anytime!
Nice to meet you, Luke. Love the shots and layout of your site! Congrats on finishing your undergrad and on your acceptance to the MA at OCAD – which program? I lived in Guanajuato, México for 4 months a few years ago, and I really miss Mexican culture. I am thankful to be in Canada at the moment, and look forward to the day travel will be a possibility.
Hi Luke,
I am also from Toronto. I found your introduction very interesting, especially the variety of interests you have, photography, piano, and astronomy. Congrats on your multiple Masters acceptances. Also, I am sure you are busy now with all the online learning happening. Look forward to learning together in this course.
Hi Luke, congratulations on your admission to OCAD! I am sure this is a trying time for everyone right now but is particularly the case for anyone who is responsible for the transition to move things online. It sounds like you got a hang of it so that’s great (and I’m going to take a look of NOTION too). Many people I know, including myself, experience technology fatigue to some extend, and do you have any suggestion to that?
Thanks,
Pei
