Joko’s World is a smartphone/tablet travel game for kids. This learning platform was created by Australian’s Cultural Infusion. In this app, kids get to explore, learn, and interact with different cultures from around the world. As a mother and educator, I think it is very important that children become aware and learn to respect different cultures from an early age so they can grow up with an open mind that embraces diversity. This is essential if we are to become effective communicators and workers in a world shrunk by technology. This app allows for a fun and educational experience for kids to learn and understand just how big and diverse our world is and to become culturally aware. This is an incredible app! As an educator I think it would be a great tool for introducing different cultures, geography and music around the world. It looks to be very child friendly and easy to use. I like how the student can chose to visit different parts of the world and explore different cultures.
