Mind-Machine Interface for Augmented Intelligence

With the increase in the computational capability, the machine and human can interface with each other and will work in resonance to enhance the capability and intelligence of humans. The augmentation of the intelligence of humans can be achieved by using Brain-Computer Interface (BCI). The term ‘telepathy’ can be applicable where the users’ thoughts can be read directly by a machine to aid and advise the user in better decision making. This wireless non-invasive brain-computer interface will enhance the cognitive skills, through various mechanisms such as peripheral nerve stimulation that will facilitate the neuroplasticity in the brain, providing an on-demand intelligent feedback to the user. This will help in facilitating the augmentation of human intelligence. The BCI will not only help in augmenting the human cognitive functions but also our sensory motor actions.

Watch the video below which explains how Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) works.

    Hi Loveleen:

This is quite an interesting post. Would it be something that you would like to consider for your A3 Project? You do not need to answer this question. Possibly you can surprise us at the beginning of week 12. 😀

      Hi Brittany,

Yes, my A3 project revolves around this concept. Brain-Computer Interface systems would definitely play a major role in the augmentation of human intelligence in near future.
