Introduction

Hello all,

I am currently exactly halfway completed the MET program (5 down, 5 to go!) and looking forward to completing these two courses (ETEC 512 as well) without the pressures of juggling this program along with a traditional classroom during the summer months. During the day I am a high school physics and math teacher at a secondary school in the middle of Calgary. However, I reside in a little town- Cochrane – that is about 20 minutes outside of Calgary towards the mountains.

My wife and I have a two-and-a-half year old son who is discovering he has a personality and that is one of constant movement so he keeps us on our toes! Besides hanging out with the family, I am in a men’s golf, co-ed softball, and hockey beer league so most of my free time revolves around sports. Originally from Edmonton and being a loyal-to-a-fault Oiler fan, my next two weeks will be an extremely stressful one. I may have to move from enemy territory for this round of the playoffs!

I don’t have too much experience or knowledge about mobile education so I am excited to learn some new information and – hopefully – some meaningful skills as well.

Looking forward to working with all of you!

Michael, I grew up in Canmore, and live in Golden. I know Cochrane! Hopefully you don’t have to move but it’s great to meet you and work with you this term.
